John Gish 

Before Campers

John began his career as a design engineer with General Electric working in 3D design before transferring to a field engineering job.  Fun times world wide fixing turbines led to a masters degree and working in manufacturing and sourcing projects. In 2005 he moved from consulting to ownership, buying out a fiberglass shop producing boats and other outdoor products

But why campers?

The leap wasn't random, the stars aligned with a lifetime of outdoor adventure for an Eagle Scout, sea kayaking instructor, bike packer and sailor to find a niche that was not a job, not a commodity, but an interest.

But why camper vans?

Before van life was trademarked, there were rubber tramps living on the road out of VW's.  John has always had a side gig in the auto industry, doing small parts and putting 140,000 miles on one VW before switching to a Land Rover for a while. In both cases, some of the best stories come from breaking down in new places.
